Mary’s Mountain Cookies is opening a brick & mortar location in Midlothian, TX and needs a minimal online storefront that makes it easy for customers to place a pickup order.

This site is designed to be simple, fast, and mobile-friendly, with a checkout flow that does not require customer accounts.

Primary goals

  • Let customers browse products, view details, select options/quantities, and add to cart
  • Support a smooth guest checkout (name, email, phone)
  • Collect a pickup date/time during checkout
  • Process payments securely and show a clear receipt/confirmation
  • Provide a lightweight admin experience to manage products, location details, and orders

What we are delivering

At a high level, the site includes:

  • Customer-facing storefront pages:
    • Home (store info + product browsing)
    • Product details (photos, descriptions, options)
    • Cart → Checkout → Receipt
    • Contact
  • Admin management:
    • Location (hours, address, pickup instructions)
    • Products (items, pricing, availability, photos)
    • Orders (view, search, statuses)

Customer experience summary

  1. Customer browses the storefront on the home page
  2. Customer views a product detail page and adds items to cart
  3. Customer reviews the cart and proceeds to checkout
  4. Customer enters contact + payment details and selects pickup time/date
  5. Customer receives an on-screen receipt and an emailed order confirmation

The goal for v1 is to launch a reliable pickup-order experience without unnecessary complexity.

Timeline / schedule (business days)

This is a minimal build intended to ship quickly. Timing assumes prompt access to required content (product list, pricing, photos, store details) and timely review/approval.

The basic flow is start -> review -> change -> finalize

  • Day 0 — Kickoff / start
  • Days 3–5 — Working build available for review (core flow end-to-end)
  • Day 10 — Launch-ready completion (polish + QA + final review)

    • Add-to-cart behavior and basic “in stock / sold out” handling

    • Guest checkout (contact info + pickup time/date + payment)
    • Receipt/confirmation page + receipt email
  4. Contact Page

    • Store contact information + location/hours reference
    • Optional simple inquiry form (if included in implementation)

Admin management

  • Location management (address, hours, pickup instructions)
  • Product management (create/update products, pricing, availability)
  • Order management (view/search orders, update statuses)
